"Out of the Fire" Flyer

The Wise County Historical Commission meets quarterly.  Please check our Calendar of Events for upcoming dates. Other events will be dedications for Texas Historical Commission (THC) markers as well as Fall and Spring historic tours.  

The Wise County Historical Society, Inc. meets on the fourth Thursday of each month.  We do not have meetings in the month of August or December due to vacation and holidays.  In November, we meet the third Thursday so as not coincide with Thanksgiving Day.

We will also be planning fund raising activities so that we may reclaim and rebuild our museum.  Please contribute at any time.  Just find the DONATE link on our website!

Night @ The Museum

March 25th, 2021 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

A family night to remember! Bringing the exhibits to life with crafts, live historical actors, and a scavenger hunt!

Admissions: (Pay at door)
$5 per adult.
$2 per child 5 to 12 years old.
Under 5 get in for free!

*We have an elevator!

* The museum’s goal is to have the crafts outside but depending on the weather we will move the crafts inside.

Since 1990, The Harmony Quartet has been singing the lifec 

Changing message of Jesus Christ to churches and concert halls

across the nation. Their energy, humor and sensitivity to the

working of the Holy Spirit during their concerts have endeared them to

southern gospel audiences everywhere.

GOSPEL OPRY SING ALONG PROGRAM, MONDAY, MAY 27 AT 6:30 P.M.

Well, Singing Friends, next Monday night will be Gospel Opry time again.

I know that will be Memorial Day, but as Dad Speer would say “let the song go on”.

We will meet as usual in the G.C. Rann Auditoriium of the Wise County Heritage Musuem located at 1602 S. Trinity St, in Decatur.
